Maternity Diverts

For the period 1 January 2024 to 31 June 2024, please provide:

The number of women / birthing people diverted to other NHS trusts (please specify which) to give birth to their baby

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust do not divert people to other Trusts to birth their baby.  We do on occasion seek support from Wye Valley Trust or mutual aid from surrounding Trusts if we have a large number of people waiting to have an ARM (water’s broken).  If they have capacity, we may offer a suitable (low risk) woman if she would like to consider transferring her care for birth.

Please break down by reason for diversion, i.e. lack of staff
