Question 1: Does Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust treat patients diagnosed with Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus including lupus nephritis)?  Yes: both Rheumatology and Renal departments see patients with systemic lupus, including lupus nephritis
Question 2: If Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust does not treat Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus including lupus nephritis) are patients referred to a tertiary/ specialist treatment centre?  Not Applicable

Question 3:  Does Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust have local guidelines/ clinical pathways/ protocols (including shared care protocols) for the treatment of patients diagnosed with Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus including lupus nephritis)?  No: Rheumatology / Renal teams make reference to national (British Society for Rheumatology, NHS England commissioning policies), and international (European League Against Rheumatism / EULAR, Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes / KDIGO) guidelines, as well as referring to draft guidance on the management of lupus nephritis developed by the regional specialised commissioning centre at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
   
Question 4: How many patients were treated at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for Lupus using belimumab in 2023?   0
  
Question 5: How many patients were treated at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for Lupus using rituximab in 2023?  0
Question 6: How many patients were treated at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for Lupus using voclosporin in 2023?  0: in 2024, * patients have been considered for Voclosporin treatment, on advice from clinicians at the specialist centre (UHB NHS Foundation Trust), but NHS England Pharmacists have not made the Blueteq form for this drug available to clinicians / Pharmacy in our Trust, despite requests from the specialist centre on our behalf.  We are, therefore, unable to access the funding necessary to prescribe Voclosporin locally, and these patients have therefore had to access the drug via different routes.
