Management of Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) patients due 21-hydroxylase or 11b-hydroxylase deficiency, as useful to monitor to reduce risk of virilisation in children. Diagnosis of CAH due to 17b-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase deficiency. May require hCG stimulation test to measure androstendione: testosterone ratio in children. Useful in assessing ovarian and adrenal androgen secreting tumours.
