Liver kidney microsomal ab’s (LKM) are positive in autoimmune chronic active hepatitis.Mitochondrial ab’s M2 type is present in >95% of cases of primary biliary cirrhosis. Other types are associated with a wide range of conditions.Smooth muscle ab’s These are present in high titres in 50-70% of patients with type 1 autoimmune hepatitis. They may also be seen in other types of autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cirrhosis and chronic viral hepatitis.
