Guidelines

Pre-analytical

Sample packs available to GP surgeries via usual ordering mechanism

This contains the sample collection device, plastic wallet and envelope. For more information see: Faecal immunochemical test

Samples in collection pack should be returned to the GP surgery or directly to the laboratory within 24 hours of collection (samples are stable for 3-4 days at room temperature)
