Includes: Gastrin, VIP, glucagon, neurotensin, CGA, somatostatin, CGB, Pancreatic poly peptide, chromogranin A and B Indication: Endocrine causes for diarrhoea, & other GI problems Patient should fast overnight. Stop H2 blockers for 72h, and omeprazole for 2 weeks, prior to blood test.

Sample must be brought to lab immediately. It must be spun and frozen within 15 minutes. VISIBLE HAEMOLYSIS INVALIDATES RESULT.
