Pre-analytical

DO NOT PLACE BLOOD SAMPLE IN FRIDGE OR ON ICE. Sample must be spun within 4hrs ofcollection. Varies with sodium intake, posture, age and is affected by drug treatment.

Units: pmol/mL/Hr Random: 0.5 – 3.1; Recumbent overnight: 1.1 – 2.7, Ambulant: 2.8 – 4.5
