Special requirements

Extended respiratory PCR is used for under one year olds, high risk and immunocompromised patients ONLY. If extended respiratory PCR is clinically felt to be required, this should be discussed by the clinician caring for the patient with the Consultant Microbiologist and will only be tested if approved.
