Test information

This test should only be used when advised by Consultant Microbiologist and when recent IGRA testing has found to be repeatedly Indeterminate.

The test is suitable for use with all patients at risk of latent tuberculosis infection or suspected of having TB disease.

Special requirements

This test must be pre-arranged with the Virology department (Extension 30211), who will liaise with/send the sample directly to  Birmingham Heartlands Hospital Immunology Department for testing

This arrangement is Monday to Thursday only. Ensure samples are in the laboratory for onward transport by 11am

3 x 4ml full.
