Water deprivation test is performed for investigation of ?diabetes insipidus. Endocrinology should be consulted prior to performing this test.

This test group should be requested on ICE for each timepoint serum and urine analysis is required. Tests included are urine osmo, serum osmo, serum sodium

Please let the laboratory know prior at least 24h prior to water deprivation test so Biochemistry laboratory staff can be alerted to need to perform osmo urgently
